Helping our Planet by Using Green Energy Sources You can help our planet by using green energy sources, such as DIY electricity, as well as other alternative energy power systems. Why does our planet need help? The answer is pretty obvious. Depletion of our natural and non renewable resources still goes on, and toxic gases are causing climate changes now more than ever. The ambient temperature of the planet is getting higher, causing all kinds of problems. The warmer ocean temperatures are making the ice caps melt. Permafrost areas, as well as many glaciers are quickly receding, causing a rise in the oceans themselves. Natural habitats are disappearing, and animals like the polar bear are facing extinction. You may be asking with all this going on, how can you help? Green energy is the solution. All you need to do is use DIY electricity, instead of using power from plants that are still using fossil fuels from coal and petroleum products. You may not think that it will make much of a difference, but it will for many reasons. One, even small things add up to much bigger effects. You will save money on your utility bills, and in may in fact eliminate them altogether. Secondly, when you neighbors see what you are building, they are naturally going to be curious. Then they will find out how little it costs to implement one of these alternative energy systems into place and how much money you are saving. This is going to prompt them to build their own, and the news will spread, and soon your whole community will no longer need to draw from big business utilities! DIY electricity is affordable and can be built by people with little or no skills. The kits themselves are under $100, and the materials needed to put together the solar panels are cheap and readily available. Even the most expensive part of these green energy systems have come down in prices, and you can buy the batteries for around $250, the inverters for just about the same. This of course really depends of the kind of output you need to run your home. If you spent just $4000 on your DIY electricity, and had an average utility bill of $100 a month, you could pay off the whole thing in just under four years. If you were still tied into the grid, and made more green energy than you could use, it would feed back into the power system, and the utility companies have to buy it from you, giving you an extra income. This means that your system will pay for itself in even a shorter amount of time. Look, there are utility companies that have started implementing their own alternative energy power grids. There are wind farms, and giant solar arrays in place all over the world, and if you draw your electricity from one of these green energy power plants great. Having your own DIY electricity will still help, by alleviating the extra draw from these plants. It will still save you a lot of money, and it will be your contribution to the environment. Our planet needs all the help it can get at this point, and any help, big or small, will have a beneficial impact.
