Power black out during Super 14 match in Bloemfontein - What will happen during Fifa2010?

On Friday we all got together to watch the Blue Bulls vs. Cheetah's Super 14 match, played in Bloemfontein. I could not believe my eyes' when I saw the stadium had a power failure in the heat of the game!

One of the first Super 14 matches, a global audience, a few months away from the soccer world cup, and one of our stadiums is plunged into darkness during an international match. Not a good picture....

I am, and have been very positive about the World Cup here in South Africa, always pushing ...

Vir die gemiddelde Suid-Afrikaanse verbruiker, was 2009 nie 'n maklike jaar nie. Met die wêreldwye resessie, en pryse wat rondom ons styg, is baie huishoude getref.

In 2012, sal die gemiddelde Suid-Afrikaanse huishouding 'n geskatte toename in die elektrisiteit pryse tot 300% gesien het.

Eskom vereis dat hierdie fondse noodig is om hulle infrastruktuur te versterk , iets wat kenners gewaarsku het in die vroeë tot middel-90's. Die huidige elektrisiteit opwekkingsvermoë is nie in staat om op...

South African Electricity Crisis...

Having just moved to a new house,I am unfortunate to have to deal with a number of the normal issues we all deal with when it comes to transfering accounts etc. On of these is the power bill, which has now almost doubled,in comparison to my last house. Not because I am using more electricty, because the property is apparently bigger! Off course the 35% price increase is also to blame. It becomes real when it starts hitting your pocket.
